My name is Ben Mullen— I’m a cinematographer born and raised in Los Angeles, and I’m passionate about showing you my favorite places to eat and drink in LA.
Why give up your secrets?
Whether it’s the style, culture, or gossip in this city— if you want to be a part of it, you’d better not blink. Clothes are re-sold, faces re-done, stories, re-told. Even the landscape gets re-painted, re-located, and re-possessed. I got tired of seeing my favorite places disappear without record, and decided I’d better start documenting them before any more go away.
What should I expect?
About four times a month, you’ll receive photographs, stories, and cartoons pertaining to my favorite LA haunts. You’ve probably heard of some— in which case I encourage you to read my take on what keeps us coming back. But for the ones you haven’t, it’s my hope that you’ll feel inspired to check them out for yourself.
